To get the best possible price, we always recommend separating your more valuable non-ferrous metals (like copper and brass) from general ferrous metals and ensuring the load is free from contamination like dirt or plastic.

All payments are made securely and promptly by electronic bank transfer directly into your nominated business or personal account. For many transactions, we use Faster Payments for rapid settlement. We do not pay with cash.

To fully comply with the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013, it is illegal for any scrap metal dealer in the UK to pay for scrap metal with cash. This law was created to prevent metal theft and ensure all transactions are traceable. A valid photo ID and a proof of address are legally required for every individual selling scrap metal. This could be a current UK driving licence that shows your address, or a passport accompanied by a recent utility bill (dated within the last 3 months).

Yes. For every single transaction, we provide a full, itemised receipt or remittance. This document details all the grades of metal you sold, their weights, the rates paid, and the final payment total. This ensures you have a clear and accurate record for your own bookkeeping and a compliant audit trail.
